BIM Manager

Digital Design process Analytics, Quantification and visualization services for projects of a certain level of complexity, within multi-discipline infrastructure team and time-sensitive development.

The BIM Manager position is expected to be in total coordination with the Project Manager and Production team to fulfill the delivery requested phase of design and agreed on BIM scope (Revit). The selected candidate will be as a technical resource-staff for the multi-disciplinary project teams, providing guidance and facilitating support for the project in related levels of detailing, structuring and instructing the office BIM Studio Fuksas protocols and standards to be implemented.

Primary Responsibilities

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-Develop protocols of digital modeling and data base to be implemented on projects at several phases of design (production of drawings and specifications from schematic through construction document stages).

-Coordinate of IM submissions, construction models and schedules for projects; in absolute correspondence with design phasing and contractual LOD and LOI per commission, in BIM (Revit).

-Provide guidance to project teams on IM and ensure that design models and associated documentation are incorporated.

-Management and distribution of digital documents with Integral responsibility on implementation of standards along the development process.

-Coordinate the Sheet List Schedules, Rooms Properties and Filters Data quantification.

-Implement interface for drawings standards (annotations, nomenclature, specs per layout-scale, libraries, families, etc.)

-Coordinate and maintain project files including correspondence, drawings, and other relevant materials associated with projects, for track record of evolution of design and technical components, Conforming to project development schedules.

-Ability to coordinate several teams simultaneously; while stewarding the overall design culture and collaborative design processes within the studio to achieve design excellence.

-Excellent communication and writing skills, attention to detail and highly organized, be driven by outcomes, have a conscientious and detailed approach, along with a positive and pro-active approach to supporting the team.

Qualifications & Skills

-Bachelor’s degree in Architecture / Master’s Degree in architectural technology (BIM) or similar Desirable.

– Revit: 3-5 years of experience managing projects at several phases of design, detailing and construction-oriented development packages (tender drawings level). In-depth experience in BIM technology and project management.

-Understanding of project workflows from preliminary design through construction documentation and administration.

-Ability to anticipate, identify and resolve problems in a timely and positive manner and organized methodology. (Clash detection – Naviswork)

-Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment while mentoring younger members of the staff.

-Ability to work independently, and to manage multiple tasks and projects under constant deadlines.

-Proven ability to engage with management and project teams to test and refine new processes and deliverables.

-Bilingual (Italian-English) is desirable. Other languages are considered advantageous.
